PC America was purchased by Heartland and although the support is much better than it was the cost has gone up dramatically. Unfortunately is have seen little improvement in the software. I was told they would be adding new features but am losing hope with them.

We just launched the world's first POS called Shoptimality which uses AI to help small brick and mortar retailers. It is also completely free. Aloha POS Support / Single Ticket Number for One Restaurant

Hello everyone,

First of all thank you for your help. I have a very big issue in my restaurant with the POS Aloha. Right now I have 3 POS in the restaurant with Aloha, but each POS has their own ticket number serie. I need to configure the 3 POS because I need only one continue serie for the 3 POS (like a continue number invoice). I put an example:

- For example the POS number 1, start in the ticket number 1000, and if i make 100 tickets, my last ticket will be the 1100.
- In the POS number 2, start in the ticket number 2000, and if i make 100 tickets, my last ticket will be the 2100.
- In the POS number 2, start in the ticket number 3000, and if i make 100 tickets, my last ticket will be the 3100.

So i have made 300 tickets but the numbers are not in a continues serie (i need this number to control the invoice with the government). So what i need, in this example, if i have 300 tickets, the first number needs to be the 1000, and the final one will be the 1300, and the first ticket in the next day will be the 1301.

Please, i need help with this because i havent got information about how to do it in Aloha.

I'm trying to run a stored procedure on a Sybase 11.0.1.2596 database in Micros RES 3700 in a PHP file using PDO and dblib as the driver. I can call a procedure with no parameters with no problems using something like:

call custom.show_clocked_in_employees

This works perfectly. However, if the procedure takes parameters, I get an error. So if I have a procedure like this that takes 2 parameters:

create procedure

custom.custom_sp_R_cons_rvc_time_prd_ttls(in business_date_start timestamp,in business_date_end timestamp)

result(start_business_date timestamp,end_business_date timestamp,store_number OBJ_NUM,store_id SEQ_NUM,...)

begin

declare@start_business_date timestamp;

declare@end_business_date timestamp;

...

end

I've tried calling it these ways:

call custom.custom_sp_R_cons_rvc_time_prd_ttls('2017-05-02','2017-05-02')


call custom.custom_sp_R_cons_rvc_time_prd_ttls('2017-05-02 00:00:00.000000','2017-05-02 00:00:00.000000')

exec custom.custom_sp_R_cons_rvc_time_prd_ttls('2017-05-02','2017-05-02')

exec custom.custom_sp_R_cons_rvc_time_prd_ttls '2017-05-02','2017-05-02'

No matter what I do, I get an error like:

this error:

  • => HY000
  • [1]=>13638

    [2]=> SQL Anywhere Error -188:Not enough values for host variables [13638](severity 16)[(null)]

    [3]=>-1

    [4]=>16

    or

    [2]=> SQL Anywhere Error -131: Syntax error near '2017-05-02' on line 1[102](severity 15)[(null)]

    etc.

    If I run this procedure in a SQL client like RazorSQL using:

    call custom.custom_sp_R_cons_rvc_time_prd_ttls('2017-05-02','2017-05-02')

    it works perfectly, so PDO/PHP/? appears to not be sending the data to the client correctly. What is the syntax to use to call a Sybase procedure with parameters using PDO?

    EDIT: The exact way I'm trying to call it is like this:

    $dbh = new PDO('dblib:host=<host_ip>',$user,$password,null);

    $stmt =$dbh->prepare('call custom.custom_sp_R_cons_rvc_time_prd_ttls(:start_date, :end_date)');

    $new_params = array(':start_date'=>'2017-05-02',':end_date'=>'2017-05-02');

    $stmt->execute($new_params);

So, I'll outline the problem I'm having, then add my guesses about what is actually causing my error.

During our standard till closing procedure, the cashier prints out a copy of the daily employee balance from the function screen of the POS till. However, for the past couple of days, it is combining the sales from the previous day and the current one. For example, at the top of the printout is says it's printing out the balance from 5/21/17 - 5/22/17.

So, every day, we have had to manually "end the day", so that the paperwork is correct. I believe it is an auto sequencing error that is not ending the shift at the end of the day, but I'm not sure how to fix it and am loath to try something and end up with two problems to fix, instead of just the first one. Do you think that a simple "reboot all" would fix the issue? or would manually resetting the auto sequence for when to "end the day" be a better bet?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I am curious to know the language used to write the SIM file in MICROS.
Can this be done with anyone who knows just the basics of programming?

Is there a syntax or a format specific to these SIM files that we need to follow? any guide would be appreciated. :)
