Micros POS Support / Simphony Printing Issues

Hey Everyone,
I been trying to find a solution for days, my Printers (Epson TM-U220 and Epson TmT88IV) are not printing correctly. everything is all jumbled up and printing wrong and on random lines. they also wont feed and sometimes cut of mid order

I have pics, but the website wont upload them,  I will try again shortly

You'll have to forgive me, I'm new here and new to all forums really...

What I need to do is figure out what time my End of Day reports are set to go through, and perhaps adjust that time if needed. I thought I had set it to 2am (same time as my credit card batch) when our restaurant opened, but that was 3 years ago and I can't remember now. Our computers go down from time to time right around 11:30pm and I am trying to eliminate the possibility that it's End of Day that's causing them to go down.

I am trying to create an EM Concept Setup with a Master & 2 Concept databases.
I have installed EM 5.5.
I try to create a concept by doing the following:
1. Opened Database Manager
2. Under the Rebuild/Update DB screen, selected the option "Create Concept Database".
3. Clicked Next, selected the new Concept configured in EM.
4. Then browsed to the new Database which is also version 5.5.
5. Then it uploads the file and begins creating the Concept. But when it begins to do a Rebuild, it fails.
 
I get the following error in my DMRebuild.log file.
 
SQL Anywhere Unload Utility Version 16.0.0.2193
Connecting and initializing
***** SQL error: Incorrect or missing encryption key
 
Any suggestions what i am doing wrong? I have tried lots of combinations to create a concept Database, but none worked. ended up at the same situation.

Dear Experts,

Good Evening!

We are using Micros Simphony for POS with CAPS version 2.7.00.501, actually we are facing issue with the CAPS machine as this is the machine which handle the Serial numbers for the check for all workstations. From last 6 months we are having continuous problem with Check serial numbers in all workstations. What exactly happens is all of sudden the workstations will start the check serial number from the beginning then couple of days it will be fine then again it will start from the beginning we tried reinstalling the CAPS machine but it worked for one month then again it started the check serial repetition.

Kindly advise if someone had the same issue with some fix.

Please check the computer name IP address at network node in posconfig also check the mds host file and system host file

thanks, the issue is not happen again till now, so i do not know the cause.

Open Computer Management (Right Computer > Manage) >Event Viewer>Applications and Service Logs> Micros Security

It is Windows event viewer, almost is they are report viewer log. Thanks again jibin.

There is no logs to check the activities but you can find the system>Application>Micros Security log to see which user logged in and which forms opened, but it wont show any details what would have changed.

But could u explain where Micros Security log? I have went through whole MICROS applications folder but do not see.

Could you advise us which application can be used to backup RES 3700 database (Sybase DBISQL) same like Oracle and SQL backup?
