IBM OPOS 500

Hi all, I've got a few OPOS 500's that have been refurbished. Unfortunatly they have came back missing all the drivers for the external components. The Mag reader and touch screen aren't working. Also Mircos Cnfidence is missing. Any of you know the best way to get these drivers and get the units up and running? Hardware seems fine.

Yeah I wouldn't have thought so but they dont work on boot up. I can calibrate the screen with a double tap at boot but when fully booted the touch screen doesn't operate. It's probably something silly I've missed. Anything you can think of?

If you go into the operating systems device manager, do you see any yellow or red exclamation points?

It doesn't see the device at all when XP has booted up.
The initial OS was W2000 and it's now running XP. Would this cause a conflict? And if so is there a work around?

Hmm, I don't like "upgraded" microsoft systems personally. You would be best advised to start with a fresh copy on a formatted hard rive of XP w/ service pack 3. BUT, if you don't want to do that, we will have to find another solution. Couple quick things, if you plug in a USB mouse or keyboard, does it work? I believe the 500 uses a USB internal interface for touch screen. Probably should check the USB and COM port device manager settings. Are there ANY yellow or red expanded devices listed in device manager? Like "Unknown Device" ?

Yeah it didn't like the XP at all. Had to just revert to W2000. Worked fine after that. Is there a generic test program to go through all the peripherals? It would make testing easier.
