No Permissions for Touchscreen Designer?
« on: October 10, 2008, 06:51:54 PM »
Hi!  We need to redesign some of our RES3000 restaurant touchscreens.  We go to Devices -> Touchscreen Designer and get a dialog box saying we don't have read permissions.  This is using the Executive Chef's login to POS Configurator.

Any advice to up our clout so we can access touchscreen designer?

THANKS!   Mike Berry Palisade CO  mcb at IronXfer dot com

If it matters I fluent with SQL and so if someone knows the table name that I need to modify that would probably be sufficient.

THANKS!

Try the General Manager's or the Owner's identity to access the configurator. If you're not successfull call your local office or the help desk. As the operator you should have FULL access to the database through the configurator.

If you need help once you ave access with programming the POS, check out my website. We specialize in "How-To" manuals and will help you with the programming if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.

I respectfully disagree.  Full access should only be granted to anyone the owner deems worthy.  A chef may be able to add a new menu item...but will have to get permission to change/design a screen.
