Yes, in EMC, Under the System Tenders, open the Tender in question, and under printing there is an option for Printing to Guest Check, Journal and so on. (Sorry I do not have EMC available to me at the moment.)

I've checked that and only outcome of this setting is the check is printing anyhow but there is no information about the tender media that was used as payment method.

In other words: guest check is still printing but there is no payment method on it.

While in Configurator, go to System Information > Tender Media. Locate the Tender you are wanting and double click on it. Click on the Output tab. Under Options you should see: Print on Customer Receipt; Print on Guest Check; Print on Journal; ON = Red, OFF = Black (note this option is generally use with TM200/220 or other printers with Red/Black tape cartridges.

Is the printer you are trying to print to a local printer or an Order device (Hot/Cold printer)?

Also, how is the payment button sent up? Make sure it is pointing to the right Tender Media; and if it is pointing to a Macro, make sure the macro is setup correctly.
