stupid question for a newbie....

i have the micros 3700 pos hardware its already set up . is there a program that i can download or buy other then micros software  that will work on these computers. i really dont like res 4.0 and i guess i have to get a new lic. for it  too.  seems like its alot of money to buy the lic since its already hooked up . thanks for any help

If you are running the software on the WS4 or WS5 then no.  Those terminals pretty much only run micros.  If you have Eclipse or 2010 terminals the any windows based software will pretty much work.  The Eclipse and 2010 terminals have a credit card swipe across the bottom base of the terminal.
