Finding the right POS Software
« on: December 29, 2011, 01:28:29 PM »
Does anyone know of a POS software that will allow the running of scripts?

I am trying to find a POS software that will allow me to essentially build a hose.

I currently am using a excel spreadsheet of which gives me the break down and then inserted into our current POS software. I would like the software to ask me what I need and pull it from the inventory and then change the pricing accordingly.

So basically what we are building consists of two shells, 2 fittings, a length of hose and then factor in the costs. I want it to pull all these items from inventory and adjust the cost according.

Anything like that out there?

Yes, most good POS softwares will do that. The term you are looking for is "Kit Pricing". Hope that helps :-)

I understand the concept behind kits. But the issue is that each hose has MANY several different variations and there is really no way in creating a kit for each one as it could be in the hundreds for a single hose.

I do have an idea I am gonna try with Kits today.

Hi,

Have you tried allbarcodesystems SPAM? They have a few different software choices that may be what you are looking for.

Good luck with your search.
