Micros e7 setup help

Hi,

I'm helping my wife out, she's a bar manager and they're opening a new bar and they've inherited a Micros e7 POS system that is still setup from the previous place.  I'm trying to find documentation to help set this up for them.  I have the number of a place in town that could help, but if I can get this done for free and help them save some $$ that would be a plus.  My question is does anyone have any guides, manuals, etc for this system?  I don't have any experience setting up POS systems, but I do work in the IT industry and am more than able to work a computer, is this something I could reasonably be able to do on my own or will they need to buck up for support?

For some reason, guides and manuals are a tightly held secret... Quite a few here are trying to obtain them.

I hope asking for them isn't a problem.  Is there a good reason these things are held under lock and key?

Thanks, that will help a bit.  We're still stuck right now though because the system is setup for the previous bar and we don't know the manager login.  They do have contact with the previous owner of the bar and we are trying to get that information, but some sort of programming or setup guide that would tell me how to reset the system to a clean state would be helpful just in case we have to go that route.

If you are still stuck, message me privately and I can give you the steps to install a starter database that replaces the existing one.
It is not for the faint of heart. This is truly a project that is best left in the hands of the trained support folks and any assistance provided by me will be done via email only and at your own risk.
There are times that trying to save a dollar will cause you to lose a lot more than you would ever save.
