Quicksell 2000 USB Printer
« on: July 28, 2010, 02:11:47 PM »
Hello all!

And thank your Mr. Henny for such a great forum.

My question regarding QS2K, is that if usb printers are supportable, and if not, are usb to parallel adapters compatible?

Thanks in advance.

USB Printers are no problem, just load them as a text only generic, they are fine. I always used the epson TMT88III.

Thank you Henny for the reply.

I actually have the same Epson printer that you mentioned. So I should load them as text only under the register 1 configuration, what about the register configuration. I have the register with a like phone cable that goes from the register and plugged into the printer.
Thanks again for your assistance.

Here are the screen-shots for the configuration that I have:

I hope that the screen-shots are not overwhelming the forum.

Does the drop down for COM ports show the epson port? Did you install the epson drivers?

It shows LPT1 through LPT4, and COM1 through COM8.

And this is the driver that I found: APD_407E

I got it from there: http://www.barcodesinc.com/epson/tm-t88iii-drivers.htm

I believe you will setup a com port, usually 7-9 through the epson driver. It has been years though since I have done that. Take a look, if you cannot figure it out, I will dig out my old manuals.

Hi again!

I figured it out, I chose Windows under receipt 1 and printer under cash configuration.

However the printer takes about 12 seconds to print, how can I make it faster ?

This is so great.

I figured it again :D

I changed the font in the printer settings and now it's working much faster.

I hope the info will be of good use to people who face same issues as I did.
