Micros E7 Payroll Export

Hi all, new the forum, love to finally find a place where I might ask a question without incurring a substantial charge! 

Part of my acquisition of a running business was a Micros e7 system.  I paid the local "official" support people to reset the system and change merchant services.  That is the extent of my contact with them, as every other thing I need seems to lead directly to a charge.

I think my current question is simple:  we just recently began using the timekeeping functionality of the e7, but when I try to "Export" the "Time Card Detail" report, I get the error message that that report cannot be exported ending in "Please use the Payroll Export to extract this data".  Unfortunately, I cannot find "Payroll Export" anywhere in the configuration, setup, or report screens.

Can someone tell me what I'm overlooking, or must I incur some "official" support costs to get the ability to export this data?

Do you have the "Time and Attendance Module" installed? That is the piece that contains "Payroll Export"

I assumed so, since my employees can clock in and out, and the system keeps track of hours by job, etc.  (Still a step up from timecards, but not quite as automated as I'd like.)

However, as is the case with this system, without any proper documentation, I cannot be sure.  Can you tell me how to verify whether that module is installed?

Just checking in:  does anyone know anything about how to export payroll, or verify if the Time and Attendance Module is installed and if so, how to access/use its functionality?

e7 does not have a separate timekeeping module.It is built into the base system, so yes, you have it.
The exports are done from the configurator. They will export to a thumb drive that you attach to the workstation.
Very few customers actually use the exports, they simply run the payroll reports and then transfer the data that way.
But the export also comes with the base system and is not an optional upgrade.

Thanks for the response.  I have looked everywhere within the Configurator and still cannot find the payroll export.  Can you provide some more detailed guidance about where/how the Timeclock Detail Export works?  I am currently printing the paper report and then data-entering it into my custom payroll-tracking solution, whereas with all the sales reports, I can import the text files that Micros will generate and save for me.  I'd really like to just add it to the imports I already do.

You need to have the Time and Attendance Module on your payroll system. You can find the export payroll and I guess that would be good in the process of the Time Card Detail. If you want to make it automated then you need a biometric or time attendance system.

No offense...but you are incorrect. E7 doesn't work that way...everything is installed with the software by default. You just have to enable the screens
