3700 - change default printer for autosequence reports....
« on: July 15, 2010, 12:09:53 PM »
We recently had to replace our office server printer.

Since doing so, the reports we have scheduled to print on a nightly basis have not been printing, requiring me to manually print them the next morning.

The Reports module works just fine, and prints to the new printer by default, just doesn't work when processed through Autosequence.

Is there a location to change the autosequence destination printer?

Thanks!

I believe you need to change the IP address of the old computer to the new...

It's the same computer... nothing has changed except for the printer.

We got a new printer, and Autosequence reports do not print now.

Regular manual reports print fine, the new printer is the only printer installed on the server, and it is set as the Windows default printer.

Is there a setting in Autosequence to change the default printer?

Thanks!

Do you have any way to find out the name of the old printer? IE "Epson Writer 9". If so, change the name of the new printer to match the old name.

Thanks Henny, giving it a shot now. Must wait until the autosequences run tomorrow morning, then I'll report back with the results!

It worked.

Albeit a roundabout method, changing the new printer name to the old name did the trick!

Thanks Henny, big help once again!
