Does anyone know any software specifically designed as a point of sale software for a carpets shop?

Does any one know a software like this translated into Spanish?

Interesting, so you sell by the linear foot? Are there fractions involved? IE 12.5 feet of XXXXX sku?

How do you quantify the sale? Yes, it matters very much.

Does a customer come in and buy 1 - ABC Carpet @ $199.00?
Or does the customer buy 12 Feet ABC Carpet @ $10.00 Per foot? And is it linear feet?

 I'm not sure but I think they would be carpets in square meters.

ok, well to proceed you need to find out if those square meters are always whole, the reason is not many POS systems can handle fractional quantities.

I will investigate and let you know soon whether there are fractional numbers involved or not.

By the way, I would like to emphasize that I would firstly like to know about:
1st. open source software for this purpose. It would be cool if it was freeware as well.
2nd. software useful for this purpose which is not freeware

I am speciallly interested in the first option though.

OK, it looks like Quickbooks POS does handle fractional qty's That is what I would go with for the money. I wouldn't get involved with a freeware right now.

I just verified  Quickbooks POS definitely does handle fractional pos sales. Good Luck!
