Micros 9700 How do I change modem dialing options?

We have a Micros 9700 that validates credit card transactions via modem. The modem is connected through the main phone system and dials 9 to get an outside line. Everything was fine until we recently changed phone service providers to one that is digital.The credit card transactions now time out and we have to swipe the cards several times. I want to change the modem to a dedicated direct analog line. I need to change the dialing so it does not dial 9 anymore. Can someone help me please?

Not sure if you have this fixed or not.

Depending on where your 9700 system is installed look for the bin directory (ex: D:\MICROS\LES\POS\9700\bin) and run the visadutil.exe file.
From there go to SETUP > DATA PARMS > SETTLEMENT PARMS > ESTABLISHMENT PARMS. You should then see the phone number with 9, simply remove the 9 and ,
