Upgrading from AlohaPOS 4.019

I just picked-up a client with a restaruant.  They can't afford to spend more on their POS system.  Looking for some solutions.  1st Question, does anyone know if I can upgrade the software from 4.019 - to the lastest one, or one version below it?
2nd question, does anyone know where I can get the hardware req., or support for this software?
