Multiple Merch Accounts?

I have a system setup currently for a venue but we are finishing up a venue upstairs. We are using the same system. Can we create another totally separate merch account for the upstairs venue and run off the same server and Aloha installation? Credit cards, accounting, employees,  screen savers, etc?

You have to setup a new user and merch account. This is not a multi business system. Realistically you should buy 2 separate systems, it would cost the same in the long run.

Thank you. The upstairs venue was once a different venue on the same aloha server, years ago. I am assuming it was setup as we are planning to, as a separate merch account.

How do I go about setting up 2nd merch account? This is not something I've done.

Yes you can.   Multiple merchant accounts in Aloha EDC have to be the same processor type e.g. Visanet.

If you are using the same equipment in both venues then some manual changes on a regular basis is required to control it.   

If the equipment is unique and separate between the venues, you can program each terminal as to would processor account they should look at.
