I have a table that I cannot get into from any station.  When I try, it says "This table is currently in use by another server.  Please wait until they have finished or contact an administrator to override."  Then when I override, I get the following error message: "System.DivideByZeroException: Attempted to divide by zero.  at System.Decimal.FCallDivide(Decimal& result, Decimal d1, Decimal d2)  at pcAmerica.Desktop.POS.Invoicing.Form.frmTSInvoice.CalculateGratuity(Boolean userPrompted)  at pcAmerica.Desktop.POS.Invoicing.Forms.frmTSInvoice.SetForm(String TableNum, Boolean DisplayGlobalInvoice)  --Location: frmTSInvoice_SetForm."  I click "OK" and it kicks me out of the program.  When I attempt to reopen the program, it says "You are already running a copy of CRE/RPE!"  To get back in, I have to go to my Task Manager/Processes and End CRE2004.exe, and the table is still there, inaccessable.

OK, it looks as though you have a database error. A character not recognised by the database was allowed to enter (not your fault, looks like a programmer made a mistake). Is the table associated with a client's name? Is the total bill due less than $0.00?

Is there an approstrophy somewhere in one of the fields?

Hello, Henry.  We don't have any customers in the database.  What I recall is that the table was a split check with 1 split paid.  The server had left for the day, so I attempted to clear the table.  If I remember correctly, I highlighted the remaining unpaid items and hit "Comp" (Complimentary) in order to zero it.  I exited the invoice screen but the table did not disappear as it was supposed to.  Since then I have not been able to get back in to it.  Viewed from the layout screen, the table has a positive balance of $8.75.

OK Samual, try logging in with the original user (Or waitstaff), does it allow you to comp out the check then? Was the split between two waitpeople? So, two bills with two separate waitpeople? If so, try combining it first.

Hello, Henry, first of all sorry for the late reply.  I cannot access the table with any ID, not even the original waiter.  I cannot get in at all.

Bad news then, you will have to contact the software author and have them delete the transaction from the database. I can't think of anything else...
