New Computer for Micros e7 system
« on: January 12, 2010, 08:46:13 PM »
I am helping a friend upgrade the workstation that his restaurant uses for various tasks.  One of those tasks is that it runs the backend to their ordering/CC system.  They have touchscreens and cc swipers in the restaurant and the server in the office.  He has a call into Micros for help but I found this site and figured I would ask here as well.  What do we need to do to transfer the e7 database (I'm assuming it's a db) to a new computer?  It looks like the PC is just connected to the network as there is no serial port plugged in.  In order to get the system up, he has to log into the e7 system on the PC.

Replacing the computer.  Nothing from the current machine will be left.
